Live life to the fullest

Are you happy?

No, really, are you happy?

Is it because you have a lot of money? Or do you drive the biggest car in town? Got the biggest house in the area?
I don't understand people who need more because someone else has more money/bigger, more expensive stuff, etc..
I've seen it with plenty of people, they just don't seem to be satisfied with what they have, always wanting more or newer.

I'm really glad I don't subscribe to that habit of envy. Then again I'm lucky enough to have enough income to get by with the few excessives I own.
I don't want the most expensive stereo, to enjoy music to the fullest one doesn't need to spend huge amounts of money.
I don't need the latest greatest car, I want one that has style, enough power to have a relaxing drive and go sport when the mood is there, and I stuck with it because a truely great car is not something one replaces every year or so.
I don't need a huge house, I've got plenty of room right now (especially if I throw out old stuff I don't really need). I would like to own my own designed house one day and have it surrounded by plenty of green though, and then I'd live there until the end of my days.

I don't need or even want to buy new things every time something newer or bigger comes out. There are a few things I want which I'm willing to spend more money on, as long as I can afford it with my own savings/income and not have to lend anything from the bank.
People are too easy with getting loans to buy stuff, one of the reasons I think the housing market is one big scam. I'm not willing to pay a huge amount for a couple of walls and a roof when I don't see the value in it. Give me a reasonable price on a piece of land and I'll build my own place bit by bit.

Be happy with what you've got. If you want something more, want it because it has true value to you, because *you* want it and not because *someone else* wants it.
Do things that make *you* happy, don't do things because you think it'll make others feel less or think you're better than them.
