Respect

Respect, tolerance, unselfishness, things that seem to be a rather hard concept to grab.
Politically correct, now I find it insulting that I have to adhere to rules I don't agree with because I might offend someone. That's a form of censorship and takes away my freedom to express myself.

To take an easy target, when someone starts bothering me with religious subjects, I feel I have the right to bother them with anti-religious subjects. Tell me there's some prophet speaking for a deity who will judge me and I'll tell you it's a mental patient that needs to be locked up in a big white building with a red cross on it. Don't want to be offended by my opinion? Don't bother me with your opinions.

That's a form of respect, allowing other opinions and not force yours and suppress all others. Of course there's the drawback, there are very unhealthy (again, also an opinion) opinions out there. But as long as there are people with the IQ of a fruitfly, there are also uninformed opinions (although low IQ doesn't have to be related to the same people).
Everyone, and I mean everyone will feel offended at something in their lives, some more than others. That does not make it right to try to protect those people by outlawing opinions like the Irish blasphemy law in effect as of 01/01/2010. It's rather ludicrous to have something like that in this day and age and it's not a sign of intelligence in my opinion (see what I'm getting at?).

The only restraint on expressing oneself should be an intelligent decision based on basic morals (but don't create mandatory morals/dogmas). It's not nice to say bad things about someone if you know it'll hurt that person. After all, would you like to be hurt like that? (all you masochists, sit! down!)
That's the whole point on respect, give it to receive it. In my opinion everyone deserves respect but if someone can't give it as well, they lose it. I can still tolerate that person, but any form of input from that person will be ignored like the internet troll they are.

Utopia, a world where everyone respects the other, people can do anything they want. Yes, anything they want because nothing bad will happen when there's respect for others. It doesn't take a lot of intelligence, just the understanding of the concept. That's what I believe in, and hope one day will come true, or at least for the overwhelming majority out there.
